The Vaishali District Central Co-operative Bank Ltd. was established in Vaishali way back in 1981 and was registered under Co-operative Society Act 11 of 1912 with the following objectives:
To serve as the bank in the state of Bihar for societies.
To guide and promote co-operative activities in the State.
To organize the provision of credit for Cooperative societies.
To serve as a balancing center in the Co-operative Credit Structure of the State.
To function as a financing bank in terms of the Act and the Rules and to carry on general business.
The DICGC insures all deposits such as savings, fixed, current, recurring deposits. Our bank is insured by DICGC. Each depositor in a bank is insured up to a maximum of5,00,000 (Rupees Five Lakhs) for both principal and interest amount held by him in the same right and same capacity as on the date of liquidation/ cancellation of bank’s license or the date on which the scheme of amalgamation/ merger/ reconstruction comes into force.
